Hard Drive Destruction — Physical, irreversible, certified

Physical destruction of HDDs and SSDs on-site in Berlin or at our high-security facility. Per DIN 66399 up to security level H-5 — every destroyed data carrier is listed in our disposal certificate.

When erasure isn't enough — mechanical destruction

For defective data carriers or the highest security requirements, physical destruction is the only safe way. We shred hard drives and SSDs such that data recovery is technically impossible.

We destroy according to DIN 66399 up to security level H-5 — for highly sensitive data, as used by public authorities, banks, or healthcare.

Our destruction methods

  • Shredding — mechanical reduction to particles up to security level H-5
  • Degaussing — demagnetisation of magnetic data carriers
  • Drilling — mobile on-site destruction with heavy-duty drill
  • High-security shredder for SSDs, smartphones, and special media
On-site or at our facility

Two routes to secure destruction

On-site in Berlin

Our mobile shredder comes to you. You watch destruction live; data never leaves your building. Ideal for banks, law firms, and authorities.

At our high-security facility

Sealed transport to our Berlin facility. Destruction under video surveillance; every data carrier is listed in our disposal certificate.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about hard drive destruction

When is destruction better than erasure?

When a data carrier cannot be erased by software – because it is defective, permanently built in or locked by a password – or when your requirements call for physical destruction.

What does security level H-5 mean?

DIN 66399 divides destruction into seven security levels. The letter H stands for hard drives with magnetic data carriers, E for electronic data carriers such as SSDs. The higher the level, the more thorough the destruction and the smaller the permitted particles. We destroy up to security level H-5.

Do I receive proof of destruction?

Yes. Physically destroyed data carriers are listed separately in our disposal certificate.

Can one job combine erasure and destruction?

Yes. Working data carriers are erased with certified software; those that cannot be erased, or that you explicitly want destroyed, are destroyed.
