Selling company laptops instead of scrapping them: what pays off
Age limits, pricing and preparation – when retired business devices are still worth money.
In short: We buy Apple devices up to five years and Windows devices up to three years old, counted from the date of purchase. The price becomes binding after our own inspection; before resale, every drive is erased with certified software. Older devices, monitors and network equipment are recycled properly.
Which devices can be sold

What matters is the date of purchase, not the model year. Without a purchase date the age limit cannot be checked – so keep invoices or inventory lists.
How the price is set
Based on your information you first receive a non-binding estimate. The price only becomes binding after our own inspection at our technical centre in Berlin. Condition details provided in advance are not a basis for valuation – what counts is what we find during inspection.
Devices registered in a mobile device management system or in Apple Business Manager and not released cannot be inspected completely. We therefore value them conservatively.
How to prepare the sale
- Find the purchase dates, for example in invoices or the inventory list.
- Release the devices from mobile device management or Apple Business Manager.
- Send a list with model and purchase date – or a few photos.
- We take care of the data erasure: certified, with an erasure certificate for every drive.
If the offer does not suit you
Then we return the devices free of charge or dispose of them according to your instructions.

Is the data erased before resale?
Yes. Every drive is erased with certified erasure software, and you receive an erasure certificate for every erasure.
What happens to devices above the age limit?
They are recycled properly. You receive a disposal certificate for them.
Do you buy from private individuals?
No. We work exclusively for businesses, public authorities and institutions.
